Deep Talk takes an in-depth look at companies’ business to give shareholders a clearer picture of their operating activities. In this interview we talk with Anders Segerström, CEO of Sensec Personlig Säkerhet, which was recently acquired by MediRätt. He tells us about the company, synergies with MediRätt and other strategic cooperation partners to support growth both internationally and organically from the current 9 employees to 30 employees within a couple of years. The companies will retain their names until the end of this year, after which they will change the name of the group to a shared, more internationally viable name

The company

MediRätt was formed in 2008 by Göran Sjönell and Sten Röing. It floated on Aktietorget in 2011, now trades on Nasdaq First North Premier and has its sights set on moving to the main Nasdaq Small Cap index by late 2018/early 2019. Sensec Personlig Säkerhet was originally a business area within the Sensec Group that was publicly listed in 2017

The product

A subscription to the Dosell system comprises a device, an app and a cloud service that issues an alarm if the person concerned does not take their medication on time. Sensec has different types of alarms, including personal alarms, security alarms and fall alarms for the elderly

Sales

The acquisition of Sensec Personlig Säkerhet, which has contracts with 90 municipalities and experience of public procurement tendering, will help speed up the process of getting their product to market as soon as it is ready

The potential

The use of dosed drugs is increasing around the world as it is a secure way of distributing medication. The market potential for MediRätt in Sweden is around 300,000 people who take medication daily and would need the Dosell product. With regard to Sensec Personlig Säkerhet, there is significant need for their various alarm services
